Labs and hubs
The Roeterseiland Campus is a true innovation hub where the University of Amsterdam and the city meet. This page lists Labs and Hubs focusing on various subjects with a common goal: to impact the future with innovative and creative projects. Our Labs and Hubs welcome professors, researchers, students, external partners and stakeholders for collaborative and joint projects.
Impact Education
Each of the three faculties on campus offers students the opportunity to apply their knowledge to real-life cases in various Bachelor’s and Master’s courses. Collaborative courses can use cases and projects given by partner organisations. It is an opportunity for students to learn how to engage with a wide diversity of stakeholders and to manage a real-life project, while companies benefit from our students' advice and insights, and may even meet their next recruit.
Startup ecosystem
At REC Impact, we believe in the entrepreneurial and innovative potential of students and alumni. This section displays a list of programmes, scholarships and courses set up to support the creation and development of start-ups in terms of funding and support.

Research
Our research impact centres work hand in hand with industry and societal partners to generate new knowledge and cutting-edge innovations. REC Impact's objective is to reference and foster all initiatives set up on the Roeterseiland campus with the purpose of impacting society in a meaningful way. This section features a list of impactful research initiatives on the REC campus: interdisciplinary initiatives (involving several faculties) and initiatives involving external actors such as governmental organisations, companies, or NGOs.
